Sleeping Well The mattresses now are modern. I remember going to the store and buying a mattress, which was so large I had have sent to my house. When your mattresses arrived, they were in a box. Packaged securely (but not ridiculously, was still easy to open), with a short expansion time. My younger kids love it, especially my two year old. Materials aren’t cheap feeling, but not plush. It is not a soft bed if you weigh over 80 lbs. It’s three, three and a half steps up from sleeping on the floor. BUT, throw on a two inch mattress topper, and it is wonderful.
