Disappointed Disappointed. As I unpackaged and put together this bed I became increasingly disappointed. After I saw a few chipped/scratched pieces on the main outer frame I continued to assemble the bed thinking a few minor issues would be fine. This bed was easy to put together and seems very sturdy. I love the color and after checking around found Amazon had the best price. I also purchased the trundle for underneath. I did however need to call Donco because I could not find any information online about a suggested mattress height and I wanted to order the mattresses at the same time I ordered the bed so they’d be here at the same time. I read a lot of bunk bed reviews before deciding to take my chances on this one. I really liked that this bunk bed came with plenty of slats for both beds and that the ladder doesn’t take up floor space. As several people have mentioned in the reviews, the quality of the wood could be better. I’ve already found several nicks in the wood as well as a small crack on the ladder that wasn’t there before.
