great first child’s bed This bed is very attractive and looks just like the picture shown if you are looking at with its headboard up against the wall. I was dissapointed to find that the back of the headboard is very ugly and looks like cardboard. But for the price its worth it. I put my sons bed up against the wall in the corner of his room and it looks great. I like how low to the ground it is for young children. its a great first bed for this reason. Much assembly required, great results! This was a gift for my grandmother for Christmas as her current box spring and mattress were sitting on an unfinished 2×4 platform. Even though a box spring isn’t needed she likes the height with it added so we kept it. Assembly took about an hour and a half with two people (me mainly reading directions and my husband doing most of the piecing together.)
