Functional but disappointing, don’t buy. On my desk it does a nice job of keeping the laptop steady. But every time I set my 17″ laptop on it, close/open the laptop lid, plug in/remove cables from the side, the stand feels like it “gives” under the weight. The non-slip grip works well and doesn’t let the laptop move around at all when plugging in cables, so for the most part it works. The two pieces of aluminum that compose the stand are solid, but the plastic O piece that holds the stand together just gives it a cheap feel…
Just get an MStand instead The flat shelf surface causes the laptop to still occupy as much of your desk as if it were not on a stand at all. The corners of your laptop will be uncomfortably close to you if the stand is placed next to a Cinema Display and you have the screens aligned. The flimsy two-piece-plus-plastic-shim construction means this stand wobbles up and down with the slightest effort. The solves these problems with…
