I got this bed for my 6yr old. We only have one child so I use the top bunk for storage of his things (ie stuffed animals, larger quilts, summer/ winter clothing depending on the season) I just put them in bins and put them up top. The bed came in what seemed an impossibly small box but it was all there! The instructions are SPOT ON! Attach A to C and B to D and you will be fine.
