It is a great first woodworking project or family project. This loft raises the bed off of the floor freeing up floor space for other uses like a chest or shelves. This loft uses a standard full-size mattress. The loft bed measures 75 inches in height, by 57 ½” wide, by 81″ long with 56 inches clearance below. It can easily accommodate adult weight. The finished bed will stand up to daily use for many years and continue to look nice. Many of the beds we have manufactured have been in daily use in hotels, camps, shelters and other institutions for 15 years or more, supporting adult weight and still look great.
