Sturdy, if you’re willing to put in the work. Exactly as pictured, came promptly in several (heavy) boxes. Took a few hours to put together but the instructions were easy to read.
Great value! Nice looking and very sturdy Delivered on the first day of the delivery window in 5 huge, heavy boxes. My husband was able to carry them upstairs and it took him about 4-5 hours to put the bed together. The wood smells nice and every slat is painted well. The stairs are higher than we thought, so our 4-year-old grandson might have a hard time climbing them. We still like them better than a ladder on the side of the bed, though. Solid bed, small design flaw, fumes take a while to dissipate. This is a solid bed. well designed, and while it took a while to assemble, and I did have a friend help me, it went fine in a couple of hours. I did buy three mattresses, and put mattress support boards under them. There was only one design flaw, the holes for the handrail did not attache to the bed correctly, and the small clip holding the stairs to the bed was flimsy and broke. I had to drill a hole and install my own lag screw in the top, and replace the angle clip on the bottom to hold…
