We received this as a gift. The crib and mattress shipped separately, and when the mattress arrived, the box was in pretty rough condition, very beat up. We put the crib together and the crib itself is beautiful- nice and sturdy. But it’s been a week and a half since we took the mattress out of the box to expand, and it’s still only 3 inches tall, even though the crib instructions explicitly say that the mattress must be between 4-6 inches tall in order to avoid injury to the baby.I…
