Works as advertised….with slight modifications So, these DO work as advertised but they are prone to failure as seen in other reviews. The plastic is fairly poor when it comes to load distribution so with a few minor mods, problem solved. First, I filled mine with expanding foam that is firm when cured and helps distribute the compression loading and doesn’t rely on the plastic structure to do all the heavy lifting. Before buying any bed riser, read this first! Bed risers either work or they don’t so in my opinion they either get 1 or 5 stars. There are two things that are a must for them to work.1) They must be strong enough to hold the weight of the bed, plus you!2) The recess of the riser must accommodate the size of the foot of your frame.Many reviews suggest that these risers are cheaply made and break easily. I can’t say for sure but they are heavier duty than the risers I was replacing and have used for many years. Perhaps…
