Our loftbeds can support the weight of TWO adults on any size loftbed we offer – this is important because most loftbed plans sold on ebay have an age and or size limit for the user. The exact same design structure we use is good for bunkbeds, twin, twin long, full, queen, and king sizes – we simply have to increase the width but the design is the same. Wood & Bolts: Our plans tell you exactly what wood lengths to buy, bolts needed and suggestions for buying the wood efficiently (buying longer boards and having the home improvement store cut in half for you), you can have the home improvement store cut all the wood for you as well. Approximate wood cost is $110 for Twin and the bolts are $25. Tools required will be a saw to cut the wood or have the home improvement store do it, a drill with 1/8″ bit and a standard socket set. Our ladders are built in. Free standing & structurally sound: Our loftbeds have never been rejected by any University Housing department. Our beds are rock solid, designed by a structural engineer, and require a very basic knowledge of woodworking to assemble.
