Disappointingly Poor Quality (even for an MDF self-assembly item) This bed is of extremely poor quality. We knew we were buying an MDF product for self-assembly, but this is ridiculous. One of the boards was 1/4 inch short and the drilled holes on that piece did not line up during assembly. One of the other boards had a rough edge that shows a long patch of light unfinished MDF board where the finish chipped away – it did not look like that happened during shipping but rather is the result of poor quality control in manufacturing.The assembly is…
this is a pretty good affordable We live in a small studio apartment and were looking for a narrow queen-sized platform bed to fit in an alcove, and this product fitted the bill. Overall, for the price, this is a pretty good affordable, sturdy and compact bed with a useful mid-sized storage drawer for storing linen etc. The finishing is so-so and you will likely see a couple of scratches straight of the package, and accumulate some more during assembly. It took me a couple hours to assemble and it wasn’t difficult at all. But I’ve also done a lot of furniture similar to this…. There were some scratches/imperfections on the “wood” finish off the top. Which aren’t noticeable with the bed in there…. Another not on the top is its super slick and the sheets don’t stay tucked very well. I plan to put a rubber mat used to keep floor mats in place, under there to help this…. Another note, the edges are kinda sharp and uncomfortable,…
