The handle on the pin that locks the fence in the up or down position has some sharp places on it. When the fence is folded down, the pin handle is even with the top of the mattress. No matter how hard we tried to keep that handle covered with a towel or pillow when my mother was getting out of bed, very often either she or the caregiver would knock against it.
