Stork Craft has made some changes to this crib. I’m writing this review to clear up some issues that the manufacturer has seemed to address in older versions.My wife and I received 2 of these as shower gifts since we are expecting twins. The box is pretty large and weighs around 80lbs. You should definitely assemble the crib in the room you plan on keeping it in because it won’t fit through a normal doorway. Disappointed in this crib Disappointed in this crib. The paint has chipped easily around the top of the rails and one of the bottom rails. We tried to put it together as a toddler bed, but the “guard” rail is ridiculously short and my child fell out of the bed. We tried to remove the spring support for the mattress and lower the mattress to the floor, but there’s too much room between the mattress and floor. (at first I thought bad idea, then as time went on my thinking … This crib is solid, and was delivered without any missing or damaged pieces. As you can imagine, there are many pieces that must be assembled. Instructions are on a single sheet glued to the base of the bed, (at first I thought bad idea, then as time went on my thinking changed and it really is smart.)
