With a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds, the bed employs 22 tubular slats to support the mattress. Integrated ladders on both ends of the frame allow one to climb up, while 15-inch high guardrails provide a buffer on all sides to keep the occupant from falling out of bed. To guarantee adequate guardrail protection, Walker Edison advises using a mattress with a 9-inch thickness or less. Excellent product, but it’s a PAIN to assemble We’re pretty experienced at assembling furniture. Most of our stuff is from Ikea, and when it wears out, we usually replace it with…stuff from Ikea. So we’ve assembled A LOT of furniture over the years. We chose this bed for a stupid reason: we could get it shipped by Prime, and not have to drive to Ikea! ok… can be improved upon the bed part and desk part comes in seperate boxes. do read the instruction for both fully before starting, or else you’ll have to undo some of the steps in order to install the desk.the assembly is extensive but pretty stright forward, doable by one person under 6 hours if you know what you’re doing. i would not recommend a woman to attempt it alone as it does require some heavy lifting. there are a lot of parts, and assembly is more difficult than a typical ikea piece. some parts…
Decent I was in the hunt for a loft bed since I have a really small room, and this is probably the most decent one I can find with my budget (keep in mind, I’m only a student). I love the fact that the stairs are made against the two sides, that way it wouldn’t take up more space than it should since other loft beds now have the diagonal stairs where it’s separately attached onto the horizontal portion of the bed.
