Be forewarned about the bunk mattress I bought this based after quite a bit of research into these loft beds.I was aware that top bunk mattress size can be a problem, the manufacturer website for this unit states it can accomodate “Twin Size Mattress – max 8.5 inch thick” (as of January 25, 2011).We received the 180+ lb unit intact in a single box. It was actually pretty well packaged for something this large. We opened the box in the garage and carried the invidual pieces to my son’s room for assembly (max…
