We got this for our 3 and 7 year old and they love it. The bed arrived in 7 boxes and was partially assembled. The only assembly I had to do involved screwing the bed frames together, putting on a few knobs, and screwing on the desk lamp (a nice surprise that was included). Took approx 1 hr with my wife’s help. The included hardware consisted of 7/16 lag screws and phillips head wood screws. Only two tools for the whole assembly. This bed is not mattress ready.
