Nice bed, can’t sit up on bottom, have to buy another bunk bed in about a year. The bed took my husband four hours with no help. He reinforced anywhere that required screws with glue. The center beam under the top bunk seems sturdy but I must admit that we’re being very strict about the beds: no playing, top bunk for reading or sleeping. It’s a beautiful bed. Good price.I am disappointed in the clearance between the top and bottom bunk. My girls just turned 4, are rather petite for their age and can barely sit up on the bottom without bumping their heads. You get what you pay for. We were going to buy from Pottery Barn, but after some unexpected house repairs came up, decided to save some money and went with this bed. Online, it looked identical to the PB bed we had chosen and one of the things I was adamant about was that it could convert to two beds like the Pottery Barn bed did.
