This is not an assembly for the faint of heart or quitters. Trust me on this. My husband and I have been married for a rock solid 29+ years, but the assembly of this bed damn near ended that. We are both very intelligent, skilled and technical individuals, not without good hand eye coordination and mechanical skills. Lots of previous reviews of this bed mentioned that it is a two person job to put this bed together, and they were not just kidding.
